Check wind speed and direction. Ideal fishing conditions are 0-15 km/h winds.
Waves
Wave height and period. Under 1m is excellent for fishing comfort.
Rain
Precipitation forecast. Light rain doesn't stop salmon fishing!
Temperature
Air and sea surface temps. Dress in layers for BC coastal weather!

- Wind under 20 km/h — Calm seas for comfortable fishing
- Waves under 1 meter — Smooth trolling conditions
- Overcast or light drizzle — Often better fishing than sunny days
- Tidal exchange periods — Check our tide charts
