Captain Jason is the founder and heart of Fishing Storie Charters. Born and raised in Campbell River, he's spent his entire life on these waters—first as a kid fishing with his father, then as a commercial fisherman, and now as one of the most sought-after charter captains on Vancouver Island.
With over 25 years of guiding experience, Jason has an almost supernatural ability to find fish. His clients often joke that he can "smell" where the salmon are holding. But it's not magic—it's decades of reading tides, currents, water temperatures, and understanding how salmon behave in every condition.
Beyond his fishing expertise, Jason is known for his patience with first-timers and his genuine enthusiasm that makes every trip feel special. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned angler, he'll make sure you have the time of your life.
